Service and Maintenance

Warranty Extra

Applikon analysers are designed to operate twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. As with all instrumentation however, regular servicing is required to maintain optimum performance and this applies even during the Warranty period.

As a solution, Metrohm UK provide an option called Warranty Extra. This is a contract taken out at the time of purchase and provides scheduled maintenance during the twelve month warranty period. You can choose from 1,2,3 or 4 preventative maintenance visits and as an incentive to get your maintenance up and running straight away, we offer you a substantial discount on the standard contract rate.

Warranty extra in no way affects your warranty cover. The warranty will still cover any emergency breakdowns or non-consumable parts.

The Warranty Extra contract expires after one year at which point you are then given the opportunity to continue your cover under a standard service agreement.


Service Contracts and Options

To keep your analyser in good working order, we recommend taking out a Metrohm Service Contract. Regular maintenance can not only improve the reliability, but can also prolong the life of the instrument.

There are two types of service contract available: standard cover and service plus. Both of these contracts offer a choice of one to four visits per year. Each preventative maintenance visit includes cleaning, consumable parts replacement, diagnostic and full maintenance checks.

Service plus also includes an analyser service kit. This kit includes all the consumable parts that may be required during the service visit: for example burettes, pump tubing and seals This gives you one up front price for the visit allowing you closer control of your maintenance budget.

A calibration and performance check is an optional extra with either service contract. This involves running multiple standards over the working range of the instrument. Documentation will be providing giving statistical analysis of the results.
