Well instead of holding back on new instruments and technology in these more austere times, Metrohm develop a new dual Karl-fischer. Historically, when a customer  wishes to determine moisture from trace ppm levels to percentage moisture, we have had to recommend the purchase of two different kinds of Karl Fischer instrument.
The KF coulometer is best suited to a range of 0.1% to 1ppm; the volumetric Karl Fischer is best suited to 0.1% and above. The 852 is a single instrument with these two methods combined with the capacity to run them at the same time. Therefore issues with space, maintenance and service, cost and time are solved with this system.
Control couldn’t be easier, either the brand new 900 touch control or the superior Tiamo 2.2 software can be used.
