The Mayor & Mayoress of Halton Borough Council, Councillor Frank Fraser & Mrs Irene Fraser were delighted to visit Runcorn to cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony. Runcorn, home to Metrohm UK, has the reputation as a centre for science and innovation, its location is ideal for Metrohm being so close to some of the major industries we serve: chemical & petrochemical.
Metrohm representatives from all departments came together and were proud to show off the facilities and the latest innovations from Metrohm as well providing expert advice and solutions for customers.
Over 70 guests attended the event to participate in workshops, demonstrations, presentations. The hog roast went down a treat as did the glorious sunshine we enjoyed throughout the event. Guests have already been sending us positive feedback:
"I was very impressed, you have a very good set up and I had quite an worthwhile day."
"I was impressed by your new labs and it's always better to see new equipment working than just hearing about it."
As this event was such a success we will be hosting similar events throughout the year with a more industry specific theme, the next being a Food Analysis Open Lab Day on Thursday 24th June.
