Service and Validation
Full Service Support from Metrohm
From installation to preventative maintenance servicing, we can offer you full support throughout the working life of your Metrohm instrumentation.

At Time of Purchase

Warranty Extra
The rigorous demands of Auditors and Regulatory bodies can mean that even new equipment still under warranty must be checked to show that its still performing to manufacturers specification.
With this in mind, Metrohm provides you the option of taking out a warranty extra contract at the point of sale.
This type of contract is payable in advance and runs alongside your warranty.
Before your 12 month warranty expires, an experienced Metrohm engineer will visit your site and perform a full inspection. This includes an electrical and mechanical inspection and operational check.
On completion of the work, the engineer will issue a certificate of performance for your records.
After 1 year this contract automatically changes to a Standard Service
Contract at a reduced premium. There is the option to upgrade your level
of cover. See Instrument Service Contracts for more information.
Extended Warranty
Metrohm UK are now offering a 3 year warranty on all new equipment purchases. To qualify for this offer you need to take out a Standard Service Contract with a minimum of one preventative maintenance visit per year to ensure that the instrumentation is properly maintained during the 3 year period.
The Warranty includes all non consumable parts, such as processor boards, and labour and travel for any emergency call outs.
For prices and full terms and conditions please speak to your area sales specialist or e-mail enquiry@metrohm.co.uk
Instrument Service Contracts
To keep your Metrohm equipment in good working order, we recommend taking out a Metrohm Service Contract. Regular maintenance can not only improve the reliability, but can also prolong the life of your instrument.
All contracts include one or two preventative maintenance visits per year. The maintenance visit is performed by an experienced Metrohm engineer and includes electrical and mechanical inspection of your equipment, as well as a complete diagnostic check. When the visit is completed the engineer will leave a service report and certificate of performance.
If your equipment does breakdown, it is important to know that someone will respond to your emergency as soon as possible. Contract holders receive fast track response. If our engineers are unable to rectify the problem over the phone, we aim to provide on site assistance within 48 hours (Monday-Friday).
Types of Contracts:-
| Fully Inclusive Contract | This contract gives you complete piece of mind with cover equivalent to your original warranty. All emergency call outs are covered by this contract and non consumable parts, such as processor boards, are fitted free of charge. With a choice of one or two preventative maintenance visits per year, this is the choice for critical equipment. |
|---|---|
| Labour Inclusive Contract | This is a high level of cover with the option of one or two preventative maintenance visits per year. This contract covers all labour and travel costs for emergency breakdowns and thereby eliminates the need for you to raise an order number before an engineer can attend. All parts fitted are chargeable, however discounts are available. |
| Standard Service Contract | This type of contract covers the preventative maintenance visit(s) only. Any emergency call outs are chargeable, but at a reduced contract holders rate. All parts fitted are chargeable. |
Volumetric Calibration
This is a separate contract that covers your exchange units and/or dosing units. Volumetric calibration gives random testing of your burette, taking into account temperature and air pressure to provide you with highly accurate results. A test report is issued for each calibration and any failed units are re-calibrated free of charge following repair.
Instrument calibration and re-validation are also available to Metrohm contract holders and can be included on your quotation.

Emergency Call-Outs
In
the event that your instrument fails, please call our service department
on 01280 824824. This ensures that the call is logged on our system.
To get you up and running as soon as possible, an engineer will call to see if the problem can be rectified over the phone.
If the problem can not be resolved over the phone, on site assistance will be offered. For companies without a fully inclusive or labour inclusive contract, a purchase order must be sent to the office to cover the call out.
Please note that contract holders take priority over non-contract holders.
For non-contract holders, both labour and travel is charged at a premium
hourly rate.
